ODS Runboost

Do you run regularly and would like to learn to run faster and better!

Together with the experienced and amply qualified coaches of Edosports you work for 16 weeks on your speed, running technique and strength. After 16 weeks you will be running better and faster and you will have gained a lot of knowledge that will help you with further training in the future! An investment that will benefit you forever!

Entry criteria & physical screening

Because it is important that you are sufficiently 'taxable' and we obviously want to prevent injuries, we have a number of entry criteria, namely: 

  • 10 km in 50 minutes (men)
  • 10 km in 53 minutes (ladies)
  • You have been running at least twice a week for the past six months.
  • You have a sports watch

Edosports works together with their partner Chiromotion. All participants can go there for a free, short physical screening to prevent possible injuries.

Location: EDOsports Home, Maastricht

What it means:

Running faster doesn't happen by itself. It requires an investment in strength and technique balanced enough to make you better and faster and not get injured.

Our program starts with an informative kick-off evening and a running test. Starting the following week you will participate in two training sessions per week in which we pay a lot of attention to running technique and intervals. In addition, in week 1 and week 9 there will be a joint strength training in which you will learn a number of strength exercises. During the training you will be guided by one of the experienced coaches.

In addition, you will receive a personal training schedule from Edosports that includes running and strength training sessions that you perform independently. This training schedule is offered in 'Trainingpeaks', an online platform where your developments are closely monitored.

The course will be concluded with a joint participation in a 5-kilometer running race. A great opportunity to set a nice new personal record....

Training schedule and training zones

In workouts and training schedules, Edosports works from your personal training zones. Training zones are a classification of the effort level at which a workout can be performed. The zones are expressed in terms of pace, heart rate rhythm or power. A sports watch with a heart rate monitor or power meter is necessary for this.

Your training zones are determined as a result of your running test in the first week. A more accurate way to determine your zones and thresholds is through an exercise test. This can optionally be booked with us prior to the course at a reduced rate.
