In 2026, Chemelot will mark its 100th anniversary! A significant milestone we wish to celebrate together with our employees and their families. At a time of change and uncertainty, we deliberately pause to reflect on what has united us for a century: collaboration, craftsmanship and resilience.

To ensure the Winter Event is organised carefully and thoughtfully, we are starting with a pre-registration.

The 100 Years of Chemelot Winter Event is designed as a moment of connection and appreciation for the Chemelot community. Rather than a large-scale spectacle, it will be an accessible and welcoming event, centred on meeting one another, being active and taking time to unwind together.

• Who can attend: Employees of all companies at Chemelot and their family members

A winter day for you and your family

During the Winter Event, you and your family are invited to enjoy a relaxed winter’s day full of activities, encounters, and shared experiences. A moment to step away from everyday routines, reconnect, and create lasting memories together.

The event will take place at Glanerbrook Sports Complex in Geleen, a brand-new facility including a modern ice rink and a subtropical swimming complex.

What to expect

There will be a wide range of activities for all ages, including:

• Disco skating on the ice rink ⛸️
• Swimming, diving and water-based activities 💦
• Demonstrations such as figure skating and ice hockey  🙌🏼

• Sports clinics and workshops, including breathing techniques, mindfulness and a (hand) ice bath experience 🧊
• A children’s area with bouncy castles, shows, games and creative activities 👧🏼
• A winter market with food, music and spaces to relax 🎶

• Collaborations with local sports clubs and community organisations 🫱🏻‍🫲🏼
• Insight into the sustainable design and development of the Glanerbrook complex 🤩
